Legendary actress Jamie Lee Curtis is fighting back against those individuals that continue to harass her transgender daughter Ruby Guest online. This comes days after the 64-year-old won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for portraying Deirdre Beaubeirdre in Everything Everywhere All at Once.

For context, Guest, who is a virtual YouTuber, revealed on her Twitter page on March 14 she was receiving hateful comments after several people decided to alter the characters’ faces the 27-year-old created in an attempt to spark some form of controversy.

How could people possibly think they are the good guys when they are putting my characters in black face, and making hateful comments about who I am as a person without even knowing me. This is why I don’t show my face this is why I prefer to be my goblin this is why I’m a vtuber

Further in the tweet, Guest shared the importance behind the characters she created. She revealed the characters, mainly her “vtuber persona,” has helped her be strong throughout her journey and “come out.”

Fighting hate with hate isn’t the way. But when people come out to destroy me because of who I am. Well your god damn right I’m gonna fight back. Fuck all of you haters, fuck every single last one of you who hates the fact I am helping others with who I am and what I do.

Guest wrapped up the tweet by saying the reason why she’s choosing to stand up to the haters is because those individuals are trying to “destroy” her for who she is and her beliefs.

As Curtis caught wind of what was happening with Guest, the Freaky Friday star had only a few words to say to those people. While retweeting Guest’s upload, Curtis stated, “Back the f–k off.”

This isn’t the first time Curtis has taken a stand for Guest or the rights of those within the transgender community.

As previously reported, in March 2022, during Guest’s birthday, Curtis sounded off about the anti-trans laws Texas Governor Greg Abbott tried to pass, which will enforce child protective services to open an alleged child abuse against parents with transgender children.
